Stairs are dangerous

I knew it would happen one of these days. We finally had someone fall down the stairs. And who do you think it was??
ME!! (and Adam)

I was going quickly down the stairs in my “slip”-pers. I was holding Adam on my right hip, next to the wall. About 3 steps from the bottom, my feet slipped right out from under me and I went right down. I’m pretty sure I was flat on my back; tailbone, back and head all lying on the stairs. I think Adam hit his head on the wall on the way down, but I was still holding onto him with my right arm. I was frozen in place. I felt horrible because I couldn’t move to draw him close to me. We just lay there not able to move with Adam screaming and me shaking saying, “I’m so sorry, I can’t move!” I was finally able to pull him to my chest even though I still couldn’t lift my head to look at him. When I finally did that I saw a little blood in his mouth but he just swallowed it and I didn’t see any more. It might have just been his chapped lip.
After we had been blocking Kevin’s way down the stairs, he came and crouched next to me to see what happened.
Well, luckily we all came away with no permanent damage (my tailbone is just a little sore). It was a little scary though!

Single story houses are really nice and new slippers are great too. I am so sorry glad everyone is OK.
