Facebook is like Swiss Cheese: Embrace It
Facebook is like Swiss Cheese: Embrace It
I see all these comments on Facebook and the Internet about Facebook privacy settings. How you got to change some setting, so people can’t see something you want hidden. Its like this never ending loop, of Facebook privacy changes and updating your settings.
The truth is, there are like 600 privacy settings for your Facebook profile. Its so crazy that The New York Times wrote up an article and put together this little chart.
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/05/12/business/facebook-privacy.html

So my point is; if you put it on the internet, plan for people to see it. It don’t matter what format you use, people will see it. The more desirable the information the more people will try to see it. It can be a website like this one, a private blog, Facebook, MySpace, BlogSpot, Forums, Twitter, Email, Flicker or any other source. There are always ways to search, hack and crack to get information.
The best thing to do, is expect for people to see it and think twice before you hit “Enter.” Also, remember the internet never forgets.
The alternative is to stay off the internet, but if you reading this blog post; odds are you’re already exposed. So embrace it.

Kevin at 10 months
My friend Mikelle took some pictures of Kevin the other day. She is one of Kevin’s oldest friends. They met at the hospital when Kevin was a brand new baby. She has taken his picture before, and she always makes him look adorable! He always makes funny faces at me when I take his picture.

Kevin is really getting into exploring these days. He crawls all around the apartment getting into cupboards. He loves to bang the dryer door against the wall. He has ended up pinching his fingers in the cupboards a few times. He tackled his high chair and earned his first black eye, though it wasn’t too bad. He also tackles my step stool every once in a while trying to get it unfolded. He knows he can use it to walk around, but he just can’t figure out how to get it set up in the first place. I can’t figure out if he is just hungry or if he’s being silly, but he often opens his mouth as wide as he can and puts it right in my face, sometimes biting my nose. And he sure can bite with his two sharp teeth!
Kevin is taking iron drops these days because his iron was low at the doctor’s office. He even had to have his blood drawn from his arm so they could send his blood to the lab. That wasn’t very pleasant. I’m hoping the drops work and his iron levels will be normal at his 1-year appointment.
Kevin still plays really well on his own but when he is tired, hungry, or has a dirty diaper he will crawl over to me so I will help him. He likes to come in the kitchen when I am making dinner and will stand right behind me holding onto my legs until I pick him up. I guess he’s a pretty normal little boy!

I Spy A R-Class.
I thought this was pretty cool. I was watching this clip of Conan on 60 minutes and noticed an R-Class in the driveway. Looks like Conan has the same taste in family haulers as I do.
