Wow, Kevin is two months old now. He had his 2 month dr. appointment on Monday and it turns out he is a pretty big boy. He was 13 lbs. 4 oz. and 24 1/4 inches long! As far as I can tell from my own interpretation of the charts, that is about the 90th percentile for both. But his weight is low for his height. He is tall and thin, just what we thought! His head is 40 cm, which is right in the middle, so I guess he has a small head for his body. He had two shots and took them very well.
The doctor said I should put him on his tummy and prop his arms on a boppy pillow to get the weight off his legs. She said he is a “leg guy”. He kicks his legs a lot and tries to get up on his knees so he needs to work on building his upper body strength. She also said he is ready to work on giving up the 3 AM feeding. That will be great for me! She said it should take 5 or 6 days for him to get over it. We tried last night and he did pretty good. He had a little trouble going to sleep because he was in a strange bed (he’s been in the bassinet next to me but we put him in the pack ‘n play in the other room). Once he was asleep he didn’t get me up until 5:30. I’d say that’s progress!
He is starting to drool a bit and he is getting more alert and active. He plays with the toys on his mat now, batting at them and sometimes holding on. He is also smiling at me a lot and starting to talk. He still only laughs in his sleep. He knows exactly who I am. John is a little jealous that when he’s holding Kevin and I walk in the room, Kevin’s attention goes right to me. Kevin likes to be propped over your shoulder while you’re standing up of course. He wants to see what’s going on.

so cute…and the song is adorable too. Kevin is looking more and more like Becky. A few pictures in where he is in the green shirt asleep smiling, I totally thought Becky! Now dont get me wrong….there is an awful lot of John too, but I saw a lot towards the end lookin’ like mama. Give him lots of hugs a kisses from us!!
What??! Has it been two months already?? That just doesn’t seem right! That went by so fast! Glad he is doing well!
So cute! I still can’t get over all of that hair! I also just moved Des into his own room about two weeks ago. I think it is working out better. He is going for at least one four hour stretch a night now. It feels like heaven compared to every two hours! I hope you can get him off of his 3:30 feeding pretty easily! Let us know how it goes for you. Oh yeah, and if you ever get in to Utah, let me know. I would love to see you!!!

He is sooo cute! I wish we could come and see him at his blessing, but I have recently been called as R.S. Pres.. and have meetings that day I can’t miss since I’m so new. I know Granny is disappointed we can’t bring her too. Give him a kiss for us.
