If you’ve never eaten anything from the Schwan’s man, you have to go place an order now! The ice cream is so good. I think I’ve only ever had that and the pizza. When I was a kid, my grandma always had ice cream from the Schwan’s man in her freezer. We loved to see the big yellow truck drive up to her house. There was just something special about it.
I can taste those sundae cones, ice cream sandwiches, and push-ups now!
What about the ham sandwich on the big bun with cheese that you would cook in the microwave? Do you remember those? They were a favorite.

How about grilled cheese cooked in the oven. Yummy!! And Grandma made the best mashed potatoes with cheese.
Oh, yes, I remember those sandwiches, with mayonaise. That must be where I developed my love of cheddar cheese. Grandma would put it on everything!
my gma would always end up with “mocha” ice cream from the schwan’s man. it wasn’t until we were older that we realized it was coffee flavored, so we told her and she was appalled!:) funny

I ordered my ice cream sandwiches but I was torn between the push ups and the sundae cones that somehow seemed more special because we had to ask Grandma before we could have one. The other stuff she just let us grab but not the sundae cones!
You’re right, Charlotte. I had forgotten. I guess that’s why we had to sneak out in the middle of the night to eat them! Remember when Grandpa caught us and just said he was so happy we felt comfortable enough there to do that? What great grandparents we had!

Well, Monday I got my FREE fudge bars! And of course I had to order a couple of other things! That’s how the FREE promotion works for suckers like me! Grandma was a much better customer than me- I’m never home on Schwan’s day and I don’t think he could ever fit anything in my messy freezer!
Lori – I guess I’m sort of getting into it. I ordered the paper from the guy coming around trying to earn a college bond. I figure I can save 50 cents a week, right? Then I heard about the free Schwan’s food from a friend and I saw the FiberOne stuff on a commercial when I was watching Dancing With the Stars online. I’m going to post about my trip soon…I am putting it off because I’m trying to edit a video that no one will probably watch anyway!
Mom – I knew you couldn’t resist. Now, just make sure you eat the stuff and don’t let it get old in your freezer! I think I’m going to order some for Kevin’s blessing. We’re planning to have a bbq (hamburgers) so I think ice cream novelties would go well with that! Can’t wait to see you!
