John & Becky Bunting

I have been really busy with work and Becky has been taking over the blog. My project is nearing an end and its apparent that I will be even more busy in the next few weeks. Friday was Becky’s last day of work. I am thrilled to have her at home now and maybe I can get a home cooked meal like I always wanted.

We went to the doctor on Friday and got a new ultrasound of the baby. He is growing and is healthy as can be.

stretch marks!

That’s right, I woke up this morning and saw those red lines on the bottom of my belly.  I thought I was doing pretty good fighting them off this far, but now they are here and they have 5 weeks to take over my belly.  So, what can I do that will really keep them from getting too bad?  I am open to suggestions.

No pictures of the stretch marks to be seen here, but here is my most recent belly shot.  This was on Sunday.  A couple people have said they think my belly is dropping, so we decided to take a picture to check it out.  I kind of think it is.

More baby news…it seems like everyone around me is having their babies and it’s making me kind of anxious, and a little bit jealous.  One of my friends had her baby on April 29 and I think her due date was June 4.  Five weeks early!  Then two more friends had babies yesterday, one was 6 weeks early!  Her due date was 5 days after mine!  And today one of our managers at work left early because his wife’s water broke, another manager had her baby on May 7, another friend at work had her baby on May 12, and a couple weeks ago another manager’s wife had triplets!  Yeah, those sweet little boys were all 3 pounds each.  That seems like a lot of babies lately.  Now I am waiting for my turn.  I will just have to wait while my baby gets fatter and fatter!  I guess it’s better that way.  I am really heppy for everyone and their new babies.  I can’t wait to see them all in person!

So I got a wedding announcement in the mail for my cousin today.  I had no idea.  It’s not like I never hear from his family, they live about 30 minutes from my parents and his dad works on the farm with my dad all the time.  Gee, Dad, thanks for telling me about it!  Plus I read his sisters and two sister-in-laws’ blogs and no one said a word.  I wonder what else is happening in my family that I don’t know about?

Congrats to Brandon and JaNae!  This is the little boy who told me I was never going to be allowed back on Grandpa’s farm because I locked the bedroom door from the outside and no one could get in.  Funny thing was, I lived a mile down the road on my dad’s farm and he lived 30 minutes away.  It was hard for him to enforce that punishment on me.

Sorry Lisa and Lori, I had to post this picture.  I love it!  These are my running buddies from last year.  We had fun taking pictures along the way.

You run through Disneyland and California Adventure and there are characters cheering you on and floats from the Disneyland parade.

My favorite part was the paddle boat with all the characters cheering. (That is also my favorite part of the Disneyland show, Fantasmic!)

It is not a hard run, there were tons of little kids last year.  (I think Abby and Kierra should do it this year)  Unfortunately, running the race does not get you in to the park for the day, sorry dad.

But, it is still really fun and it will make it a lot more fun for me if YOU sign up.  They do give you lots of snacks and a medallion at the end, plus a goodie bag with a t-shirt and other junk in it.

Or you can be a wimp and watch from the side like John did last year, and he’s going to again this year.

The race is on Saturday over Labor Day weekend, that is September 5 this year.

Happy anniversary babe!  Three awesome years.  I was going to post pictures of us on our anniversaries but we didn’t have any.  We need to take one this year   So, it will have to be sappy wedding pictures.  Here is you making me smile.
