Styx – Too Much Time On My Hands
Jan 09 2009

I think this picture needs a little explanation. We are planning to go to Hawaii next year shortly after the baby is born. Yesterday we went to the doctor and found out it’s a boy! (I’m breaking my dad’s batting average and now he is just a regular grandpa with grandsons and granddaughters, before he had an 8-year-old grandson and then 9 granddaughters). Anyway, so we’re breaking the “curse”. So after the doctor visit we went to the mall to find a cute outfit for a boy. There are not as many options as there are for girls, so we decided we would get him some swim trunks for his first big trip. We are surprised to be having a boy but we are very excited and can’t wait to meet him. ~Becky
Marcy – here is a picture of the baby’s shorts compared to John’s shorts. I hope you get to meet him before we go to Hawaii too – will you be coming to California??

We added a new widget to our Blog to track the progress of Baby Bunting. This was our favorite pregnancy widget available. We are really excited to be having a baby and we are looking forward to raising our kid.

Update: Enhanced photo added.

To say I have a lot of blogging catching up to do is a huge understatement. I hope to put some pictures up from Christmas because we spent the week with the cutest little kids. But it may never happen, especially since I have a draft in here from August that I haven’t posted yet. I will say this about Christmas, it was cold. It snowed every day we were in Idaho and every morning the roads were drifted over and we had to bust our way out. I keep saying I miss the snow, since I haven’t seen any since I moved to California. Well, I got my share. The good part about it was the roads through Nevada were all clear so we didn’t have any trouble on our drive.
So, I am not looking forward to tomorrow because I have to go back to work. I spent last week at home doing my favorite thing, organizing. I got through so many piles that I have been putting off. What a great feeling. And I made great use of my awesome paper shredder that John’s grandma gave me for Christmas. It is super powered and I love it! Tomorrow I will go back to work. I really have a pretty good job, and I don’t completely dread going. There are good people and it’s mostly interesting work. I just don’t want to get out of bed and get ready, I haven’t had to do that for about 3 weeks now.
For those of you who don’t want to read all this, here is a picture from our New Year’s Eve party I guess you could call it. Small get together? We decided that we didn’t want to sit at home alone and be too bored for New Year’s so I got some food and some hats and we invited some friends over. We played a few games and made ourselves stay up until midnight. John had a great time showing pictures of the houses he’s been looking at. He is determined to find a place for us to move into before June. He is working really hard to find us the right place and I can’t wait to see where we end up. (Disclaimer on this picture…I look tired and I have wrinkles…I am turning 30 this year so it is to be expected. John looks great in his purple derby!)
