Today is September 15 which means BUSY SEASON IS OVER!!!! YAY!!! I have been working a lot lately and it has not been fun to be away so much. But I got to stay away from work all weekend and it was great. I got to spend time with John on Saturday doing what we usually do on Saturday’s when we have the time. We ran errands. We went to Wal-Mart, Costco, and Stater Brothers. Not a lot of fun, you say? I disagree. We love to go run errands together since it’s really the only time we get to go do anything together. We got a berry smoothee from Costco – our favorite. And we looked through all the DVDs, which I love to do.

On Saturday night John fulfilled his promise and watched “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.” I think he really liked it. He told me I couldn’t sing or else he would stop watching with me, so that was difficult for me to hold my tongue. But, at one point he realized the singing was not going to go away so he gave me permission to sing along. I picked up right in the middle of “Goin Co’tin”. What fun! On Sunday John even watched the bonus features with me and he said they were good too. I’m so excited, I don’t know what musical to have him watch next!
I’m going to try to get him to help me make a video to put on here of one of the bonus features…it has nothing to do with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers but it was really good if you like music and old movies…
P.S. I still have a long two months ahead of me. Let the studying resume! But, I did find out that I passed my second test so that’s all the more motivation to push through the next two. By the end of the year I hope to be done…cross your fingers.
Congrats on passing your test! That has got to be a load off! I LOVE the berry smoothies at COstco!! YUM! I will have to grab one tomorrow when I go get some gas there!
You should have John watch Oklahoma or Brigadoon. Loved those shows!
Have a good one!
Good luck with the studying!
Mark and I watched Fiddler on the Roof two Sundays ago. It was delightful!
Oooh, Fiddler on the Roof is a great idea. I already own that one. And I love Oklahoma too. I have not seen Brigadoon but I will have to check it out. I love musicals! They are so much better than a lot of the movies that come out these days.
Hurray! You are making great progress! I can’t believe you’ll be done by the end of this year. I am very impressed!
The movie was ok. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I did like the bonus features.
Congratulations Becky! You’re so smart!
John I don’t know you but you’re a brave man to suffer through that genre of movie. Go see something with explosions now, you’ve earned it.
Congratulations Becky! I know you will do great on the next few tests! You are an amazing person and so smart!
Thats funny that you got John to watch that with you. We would watch Brigadoon as kids, and I loved it, especially making fun of it with my sisters (which always bugged my mom), and laughing at the comments from Gene Kelley’s smart alec friend throughout the movie. you should see it, I love that movie.
My Fair Lady is a good one if you’re not a purist with Audrey Hepburn’s lack of singing.
And congrats on your tests! Almost done!
hey! i’ve missed all your blogs lately…i’ve been a slacker lately myself, but not because of taking any tests! just canning, office work, and rugrats!
hey, i just thought i’d say congrats on the tests! that is awesome!

WOW! You got John, lover of Nine Inch Nails (at least in HS), to watch Seven Brides for Seven Brothers??!! I knew there was something off in the universe.
Now here’s your next challenge…..well email me and I will tell you so then John has no idea which movie.
Congrats on passing the test.
About the new car thing you asked on our blog. Yeah, good luck on that one, I see somethings don’t even change over time.
As long as I have known him- cars, specifically good cars, have been his love and desire.
Ok, Crystal you got me. I still like Nine Inch Nails and I still love cars. I spend half of my weeks talk to car companies. I guess its what I am made to do.
P.S. In a few weeks I might be running a whole department.
