See, I Told You So.

Published by John under Our Blog

I never liked McCain. Also, its no secret I would never vote for him. One of the main reasons why I would never vote for him is, I believe he lacks core direction. A great example of this lack of core direction is his move this week to “suspend” his campaign.

This was a foolish and knee-jerk reaction to some poor economic news. He completely over reacted. No presidential candidate has ever “suspended” his or her campaign. Is this what McCain is going to do if he is president and things get a little tough? Suspend his presidency. Does John McCain enjoy being a Senator more than he wants to be President? I thought Sara Palin was his VP and could step in to carry on the campaign or presidency at any moment. Did McCain get scared of the debates? Did he leave something at his house in Washington D.C. and have to go back home for it?

Seriously, what was he thinking? I know what I was thinking; See, I Told You So. This is why McCain is bad, you put him in the White House and you never know what he going to do that day. Maybe he is driven by his craving for ice cream? If he wants vanilla ice cream, he votes “Yes.” If he wants chocolate ice cream that day, he votes “No.” What gives??

So, the bottom line is; McCain is out. He basically handed the Presidency of the United States to Barack Obama on a silver platter. McCain will get ripped for the next 2 months over suspending his campaign.

On the bright side, at least we know who is going to win the election in November and Sara Palin might run for national office in 2012.

P.S. Go find a tax shelter, Obama is coming for all your Money and he is giving it away.

Anybody need an excuse?

Published by Becky under Our Blog

Do you need an excuse to eat brownies, ice cream and hot fudge?  Well, I have one for you.  John is turning 32 years old!  We decided that was a pretty good excuse, so we are having the treats at our house on Wednesday at 8:30.  Please come indulge with us.  Anyone reading this who knows where we live and who has ever spoken to us is invited.  Happy birthday John!

I got the picture here in case it matters. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=260111

John’s new favorite movie

Published by Becky under Our Blog

Today is September 15 which means BUSY SEASON IS OVER!!!!   YAY!!!  I have been working a lot lately and it has not been fun to be away so much.  But I got to stay away from work all weekend and it was great.  I got to spend time with John on Saturday doing what we usually do on Saturday’s when we have the time.  We ran errands.  We went to Wal-Mart, Costco, and Stater Brothers.  Not a lot of fun, you say?  I disagree.  We love to go run errands together since it’s really the only time we get to go do anything together.  We got a berry smoothee from Costco – our favorite.  And we looked through all the DVDs, which I love to do.

On Saturday night John fulfilled his promise and watched “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.”  I think he really liked it.  He told me I couldn’t sing or else he would stop watching with me, so that was difficult for me to hold my tongue.  But, at one point he realized the singing was not going to go away so he gave me permission to sing along.  I picked up right in the middle of “Goin Co’tin”.  What fun!  On Sunday John even watched the bonus features with me and he said they were good too.  I’m so excited, I don’t know what musical to have him watch next!

I’m going to try to get him to help me make a video to put on here of one of the bonus features…it has nothing to do with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers but it was really good if you like music and old movies…

P.S. I still have a long two months ahead of me.  Let the studying resume!  But, I did find out that I passed my second test so that’s all the more motivation to push through the next two.  By the end of the year I hope to be done…cross your fingers.

The Palin Effect

Published by John under Our Blog

Sarah Palin has single handedly saved John McCain’s run for president. She is everything the Conservatives want, except she is not on the top of the Republican ticket. There is a strong possibility that after this election, she will be in national politics for a long time.

McCain had no chance in winning before he picked Palin. Now Obama has stopped attacking McCain and started attacking Palin. This is a very usual move by Obama. Also, since Palin has come into the picture, Biden has gone away. I bet no one remembers the last time Biden did anything with respect to the Obama campaign.

Now, Charlie Gibson interviewed Sarah Palin for 20/20 on ABC. Gibson gave the worst interviews I have ever seen. You could see the look of disgust on his face as Palin gave answers that were not the kind Gibson was seeking. Multiple times Gibson asked a question and the asked again, trying to get a particular answer from Palin.

Please note this is a 4 part interview, Part 1 is above.
I like Sarah Palin and I think she gave McCain a fighting chance to win this election. I think after several years in national politics and serving as VP, she could be president. However, there is still no way I would vote for McCain.
