more bragging

Published by Becky under Our Blog

I have another niece and she is so cute! Her name is Sophie Beverle Anderson. I can’t wait to meet her and her cousins Eva and Paisley when we go to Idaho in a few weeks.

Congratulations Zach and Holly! You have beautiful girls.

Disneyland

Published by Becky under Our Blog

We went to Disneyland again! It’s been a while so we were really missing it. We got up really early on Saturday to go for a few hours. It is nice to have a pass and not feel like we have to spend the entire day there to get our money’s worth.

We started out in Innoventions to check out the new “House of the Future”. It is really new so there are still a lot of bugs. But it is cool. It is all about computers and networking everything in the house, from the lighting and the kitchen appliances to the music, tv, and the clothes closet in the daughter’s bedroom. They do have a fun story room where we heard the story of Peter Pan and got to shoot the cannon.

The Dining Room Table

We didn’t ride many rides this time. Only the Matterhorn, Monster’s Inc., Roger Rabbit Toon Town, Gadget’s Go Coaster and Mullholand Madness. John likes the more mellow rollar coasters, he will ride Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain but you will never catch him on the California Screamin’. ( He has ridden the Tower of Terror twice and hated it both times, but he promised he would ride it with me again for our 5th anniversary and our 50th.)

The best I-Scream sundae in the Disneyland resort

We ordered an I-Scream sundae from the Burr-bank ice cream shop and it was SO MUCH BETTER than the one we ordered on New Year’s. We also got an exclusive Meet and Greet with Chip and Dale and a free 5×7 picture thanks to the Disney Credit Card (don’t worry, we haven’t activated it and we never will, we used it pay down the last of our credit card debt, but that’s a whole new post).

Chip and Dale

We wanted to ride the new Toy Story Ride in California Adventure but the line was way too long. We figure we will come back another day and stand in line when it is not so hot outside. Around noon we were ready to leave, but I convinced John to let me stay to watch the Disneyland Band. They played Disney movie music of course and it was awesome. I love how it is all these old guys who just really enjoy playing their instruments. It really made me want to get my clarinet out and play some more.

Wall-E anyone?

Published by Becky under Our Blog

Remember how I just won tickets to see Wall-E?  Well, I won 4 tickets and we only need 2 and I can’t think of anyone in their right mind who would want to go that early in the morning.  I don’t think I have very many local readers, but is there anyone out there who wants our extra tickets?  Just let me know.  They are free and breakfast is included and I hear the theater is pretty cool.

Something is wrong with this… and Funny!

Published by John under Our Blog

So, after our adventures at Bath & Body Works, we went to Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart is the greatest store in the world! While entering Wal-Mart the following thing caught my eye; take the poll below and let us know if you find the problem with this product placement! ~ John

Married people are boring!

Published by John under Our Blog

As Chris Rock says “You can be married and bored, or single and lonely. Ain’t no happiness nowhere.”

“If you go to eat dinner with single people, single people eat for hour and thirty minutes and leave. Cause they got things to do. Married people close down the restaurant. They start ordering coffee and dessert, start talking to the architect. Start talking to the cook, what’s in the tea? Water!”

Since I have been married; we have done just that, go to a restaurant sit there and talk about stuff. Think about ordering dessert and then, when they are closing up, decide to go home. Often times, we walk into a place at 10PM and ask what time they close.

When I was single, I would show up, eat and then leave because I had places to go and things to do. Its rather funny how true it all is.

Case in Point ~ As a married couple, we went out to Taco Bell for dinner tonight. They finally opened the new Taco Bell by our house. I still think Del Taco is much better than Taco Bell.

After dinner, we went to run errands. We went to Becky’s favorite store Bath & Body Works. She has a BOX full of stuff and for some reason she always feels the urge to add more to her stock pile. She has like a 6 months supply of lotion, air freshener, body wash, hand soap, body scrub, bar soap, and some other things. I figure she spends between $20-30 a month on the stuff. It makes no sense to me but I let her do it for 2 reasons.

1. It keeps her smelling good and happy when she can feed her Bath & Body Works habit.

2. The Bath & Body Works credit card is also valid at Victoria’s Secret.
