Angry Woman, Big Trucks & Nachos

Published by John under Our Blog

So, the Democrats are having some internal issues figuring out what to do with Florida & Michigan delegates. A major decision was made this weekend regarding the handling of the delegates. The Hillary supporters are not happy with this decision because it makes Obama the Democratic Nominee.

The most interesting thing is; the Democratic party claims to be the party of equality, unity, and acceptance of all kind. Well, from my observation, this is a complete falsehood. The current Democratic party thrives and uses division, racism, sexism, and inequality to give its self relevance. The race between a white woman and a black man; has shown the world how divisive the Democratic party really is. Its a sad world we live in, but its a good thing the hypocrisy is finally being brought to light.

Case in point -

So we live in the land of $4.15 gallon gasoline & 5.19 gallon diesel. I saw the coolest thing ever the other night at a shopping center by our house. Its called a International CXT and it runs on diesel. The CXT gets 8-10 miles per gallon, and has a 70 gallon tank!

All Nachos are not created equal. We have had a hard time finding some good Nachos in CA. In UT we always went to Beto’s Mexican Food. They had the best Nachos ever and they are open 24/7. Its important to get Nachos at midnight and it was a great reason to get Becky to stay late at my place! The other day I went to some mexcian place to get Nachos. I thought it was good until I took a bite. It was supper nasty; so bad I threw it out! The meat tasted like cooked, mashed, SPAM. Cost = $6.00

Last night Becky and I went to Sharky’s Woodfire Mexican Grill. We tried there Nachos and it was really good. A little on the pricey side but two people can split the order. I think we will go back in the near future. Cost = $9.00

Nike+

Published by John under Our Blog

I just made a challenge and added my Sister-In-Law. We are going to run 75 miles total by the end of June. This should be fun. If anyone else has a Nike+ and wants to be added let me know. ~ John

Also note, I put the Nike+ widget on the bottom left of our blog. I need to run more.

one down, three to go…maybe

Published by John under Our Blog

Well, I took my first CPA exam. The actual test wasn’t too stressful, it was all the anticipation and wondering how I would ever remember all that information. And of course knowing it wasn’t all going to be on the test but there was no way to know what would be on the test. Anyway, I did it and I’m really glad it’s over and now I get to take the rest of the day off work! What a deal.

Thank you so much for your support. It means so much to me that my friends and family love me and have confidence in my abilities. It really helps me. And I would like to publicly apologize to John for being so mean to him this weekend. I pretty much studied for 3 days and I wouldn’t let him talk to me. I’m also sorry for anyone else I shunned (especially you, McKenzie, if you are reading this and it’s not too boring for you.)

I got up this morning with plenty of time and my stomach was in knots. I always get nervous about stuff like this, first day of school, first day of my new job, etc. I got to the testing center at 8:30 like I was supposed to and then I waited for 40 minutes for them to call my name. I think everyone else must have had fastpasses because a lot of people came after me and got to go take their test before me. I was kind of hoping they wouldn’t call my name until 9:30 because if you test starts 30 minutes late you can reschedule for free. It was kind of like in college when the teacher doesn’t show up for 10 minutes and everyone crosses their fingers and hopes that 5 more minutes will go by because there is that unwritten rule that if the professor is not there 15 minutes class is canceled.

I won’t bore you with the details of the test…plus I signed my life away that I wouldn’t disclose what was on it and they scanned my driver’s license and took my picture and my fingerprints so I think they were pretty serious about it. I had some extra time at the end so I went over the part of the test that I could (you can only see 1/3 of the questions at a time) I wanted to wait until I got kicked out even though I was bored after going over the same group of questions 3 times. Anyway, what’s done is done, as they like to say in my office…and we will know in a month or so if I passed.

After my test I went to John’s office and we went to lunch at Arby’s. Here’s the part where we talk about food…we do that a lot on this blog. I was so good, I only ordered a salad and some water. Even though the salad had apples and cranberries on it, it could not disguise the taste of the nasty iceberg lettuce. Iceberg lettuce is not my friend. So every few bites I had to steal one of John’s curly fries to make my lunch more palatable. It was nice to be able to go to lunch together.

As for John’s weekend, he was bored out of his mind. He watched about 7 movies and did all he could to get my attention but I kept waving him away. He couldn’t find anything worth watching on tv and he didn’t want to clean the house. Maybe this weekend will be better.

And just for fun, here are two pictures my sister sent me of her husband and baby in April and May. Eva is getting better at standing in her daddy’s hand. And check out that hat rack. Definitely not any animal rights activists in that house.

test

Published by John under Our Blog

I have been studying all weekend and I will study all day tomorrow.  If you think of me on Tuesday morning, send me some brainwaves because I will be taking my first CPA exam.  There’s a lot of information to learn so I’m kind of stressed.  Wish me luck!!

P.S. I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day and I hope no one in my family wrecks a four-wheeler!

Its Finally Over.

Published by John under Our Blog

Hillary Clinton has finally said something so offensive that the Democrats are turning on her. Its about time! I have been surprised by how insensitive the Liberals are to someone’s race, gender, or the poor. Fortunately, Democratic/Liberals have their limit.

SICK. Disgusting. And yet revealing. Hillary Clinton is staying in the race in the event some nut kills Barack Obama. It could happen, but what definitely has happened is that Clinton has killed her own chances of being vice president. She doesn’t deserve to be elected dog catcher anywhere now.
