OK, along time ago I got a computer. Later on I got Windows 3.11. I started using Microsoft Windows in 1992. Windows was much better than DOS and was really good. Then, I got windows 95, NT 4.0, 98 SE, XP, and finally Vista. I used Vista for about 8 months and decided to look at other OS options because it was so poorly built. I look at Linux but I felt it was too much on the fringe for a home computer. I then, thought about Apple.
When the iPod first came out I thought it was a fad. I was still using MiniDisc. Later, I started running and got a first gen iPod shuffle. I really like it and how well it worked. Later, I got a iPod Nano and was blown away at the OS. The user interaction was impressive. When I saw the iPhone in the Spring of 2007 I was amazed. I knew, I had to dump my Windows Mobile 5.0 phone and get one. Well, in November I got an iPhone. I have been amazed by it ever since, best phone I have ever used or owned!
Which brings me to my conclusion.
If Apple can do what they do with a phone, how good can their computers be..
Well, I looked at Leopard, got a hacked .iso and tried installing it on my Toshiba. That was a total failure. I had to reinstall vista and start over. I did not lose my files, they are backup. Once I accpeted the path I was headed down, I embraced it. I sold my Windows Vista laptop in eBay to a guy in NJ. Then I bought a refurbished MacBook Pro from Apple and some software to go along with it.
I have been using the MacBook Pro for about 2 weeks now I am very happy. It took some time getting used to. The file structure is different and there is lack of configuration options. Because its our home computer I can live with this. It boot in 30 secs, unlike Vista taking 2:30 min to boot. Everything works the way it should and no worry about install drivers for everything. You just plug things in and they work.
I am glad I switched, but if you tried to get me to switch 6 month ago I would have turned you down. So, below is a picture of my Apples.

P.S. If your on Skype, hit me up, I got iSight!

Outstanding. You just got one step closer to supporting socialized medecine. Welcome to the dark side!
Of course I’m still running XP but that’s more out of cheapness than anything else. Next comp will undoubtedly be a mac. After which I’ll wipe my xp machine make it an Ubuntu box and run it like a file server…..
wow sorry to nerd things up in here. I’m going to go watch some sports now.
Really funny Becky.
I just like apple products better. Its a free market and I can out my money where I want.
John.
