I don’t like sports!

I guess most of you know this, but I don’t like sports. At this point I half watch one sporting event per year, the Superbowl. One item I do pay close attention to is the auto industry. I like working in the auto industry and watching the industry evolve. One of the biggest players in the auto industry is Bob Lutz. He is currently working at GM and has made some major changes. Bob Lutz has resurrected Cadillac and the rest of the GM lineup. He also likes to make headlines, recently he said Global warming is a “total crock of ****.” I too think Global warming is bogus.

Which brings me to the coolest thing ever, its called the Chevrolet Malibu. Bob Lutz helped deliver the Malibu to market and now its Hot!

How Hot you ask, check this out - The Malibu is the first time a domestic mid-size has held the number 1 sales spot for three consecutive months – ever.

Another Reason to NOT like McCain.

Published by John under Our Blog

Ever heard of the Keating Five?

To explain it simply; a bunch of money and 5 crooked politicians.

In 1989, the Lincoln Savings and Loan Association of Irvine, Calif., collapsed. Lincoln’s chairman, Charles H. Keating Jr., was faulted for the thrift’s failure.

It came out that these senators had been beneficiaries of $1.3 million (collective total) in campaign contributions from Keating.

Five senators:

John McCain (R-AZ)

Alan Cranston (D-CA)

Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ)

John Glenn (D-OH)

Donald W. Riegle, Jr. (D-MI),

Notice anything interesting about the list; ALL Democrats except McCain.

I like free stuff

Published by John under Our Blog

I have to say, I was impressed with the response we received to John’s post about John McCain. It’s fun to hear everyone’s opinions. I follow politics a little bit, but I have to admit I’m not that into it. I don’t even know who the house whip and all the supreme court justices are anymore.

Anyway, for something no one probably cares about, I wanted to share this picture of all the free Bath & Body Works products I got last month. You see, I had to go to Chicago for a training for my new job. We stayed at this cool place called the Q center. It is a professional training facility with dorm rooms and cafeteria-style dining, a work out room (that I did not visit), even a barber shop and a nurse’s office. It was pretty neat. Plus, I got a hotel size room rather than a dorm size room which was nice. I spent each evening on my big, soft bed enjoying my very own plasma tv late into the night. Everyone else went out drinking. My favorite thing about this trip is that every morning before I left I would hide the B&BW products in my bag and when I returned they gave me four new bottles and two new bars of soap. I came home with quite a haul…

B&BW

Here I am in the snow outside the Q center. I am glad it snowed while I was there. I miss the snow this winter.
